Kenneth Dwayne Greene was the first baby born in Hemphill Texas in 1956 on February 5th. Kenneth enjoyed many activities as a young man including playing football, fishing with his Grandmother, playing chess, dominos, hacky sack and was an amazing bowler. Kenneth lived in many places as an army dependent. Kenneth attended high school in Killeen Texas and Ansbach Germany where he played football and competed in the Shot Put. Kenneth graduated high school in Ansbach Germany. He later attended college at the University of Texas at El Paso before joining the Navy where he spent many years on the USS Enterprise.
Kenneth returned to Texas where he attended Richland Community College and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Dallas. He taught in the Richardson Texas School District before moving to Eugene OR where he taught in the 4J School District in Eugene. He also worked for the Oregon Supportive Living Project in Eugene. He grew up in the Baptist Church but was a practitioner of the Buddhist SGI faith and a member of the SGI USA Center in Eugene OR. He loved Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and everything basketball.
Kenneth is survived by his parents Jesse and Velma Greene; two children, Jessica Greene and Sarah Greene; siblings Toni Greene Esters, Jennifer Thomas, Vincent Greene and Diane Greene; four nieces, Ayana and Tiana Thomas, Quinn and Jordyn Greene; three aunts, three uncles and a host of cousins and friends.
